For more than 30 years, I have helped brands and people create connections.

Connections to audiences.
Connections to surroundings.
Connections to ourselves.

And while it may seem like creating the national advertising campaign for a Fortune 500 Insurance company may seem very different from working with a high school student on her college essays, it’s not. Because at the start and end of the day, this is a human practice. A humanity practice. An empathic practice. And any aligned connections are forged on the same principles.

Sure, disingenuous overuse may have left these words gasping for breath, I still believe deeply in all of them. And others. Like transparency. Purpose. And surrender. So we start all of our engagements by simply talking with each other. Asking and answering questions. Sharing stories. Getting to know each other. Together, we uncover hidden truths that become the connections behind the most impactful connections, in the form of campaigns, messaging, content, college essays, and more.

This is an exercise in knowing ourselves … so others can then know us. Whether the “us” is an organization, a product, or ourselves. Because that’s where the connection, well, connects.

There’s no formula.
There’s no repetitive process.
Every engagement is unique.
Because we all are.
